When life gives you a dilemma, you make dilemmanade!
 
Life has not been at all what my husband and I expected it would be, but you know what? That’s okay! In so many ways it has turned out to be even better! The most beautiful way, is our son, Ty!
 
We were told by so many doctors that giving birth just wasn’t in the hand we were dealt. After almost 17 years, we started to believe it ourselves! Just as we were letting go of our dream of being Mommy and Daddy…

Here comes Ty! He literally brought himself into the world! LOL

The nurses didn’t catch him, and the doctor wasn’t in the room!

We gratefully, and lovingly refer to Ty as our beautiful intermission. Why? You might ask?  
 
 
 
 

 

 

I have been navigating through 18 years of neuro lyme disease and MCAS. You can follow my health journey on the socials, and you can also find the cutest videos of Ty there!
 
2024 was a very hard year for our family, and I found myself in the middle of one of the nastiest flare-ups I have had in a while! It was the same year that I needed to honor my Uncle Mike in the best way I knew how. This led me to my happy distraction!
 
Pursuing and publishing Uncle Mike’s dream joke book! Open Mike Night with a Dad Joke King! It took over half a year to complete. There were days that I was able to get so much accomplished in one day. Other days, I couldn’t talk or barely move. I just laid in bed, in the dark, riddled with migraines. I wrote this joke book the same way you “Eat an elephant.” One bite at a time!
 
I guess you could say that life has been like an amusement park ride, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

2025 was the year of major surgery and great change! From the beginning of the year, until mid-July when I had a hysterectomy, I was dealing with a perpetual period.  My OBGYN didn’t hesitate on getting me in as soon as possible! He told me that he truly believed the hysterectomy would drastically change my quality of life! Man, was he ever right! It gave my body the reset that it needed to begin the light therapy that our family doctor introduced us to!

Day one of recovery, I started this phototherapy technology that has changed our family for the amazing! This light therapy, in the form of a patch, expedited my healing process and before I knew it! I was working out and playing with my son! The things I would spend my day dreaming about when I was living in bed. Unable to talk or move!

Our story is not over. No, we’re just getting started!
